How Does Valcom Integrate with Other Systems?
Contact Closure
No content is exchanged just trigger each other’s software solution.
- Third party gives us a contact closure into one of our inputs that can activate a playlist in IP6000 Site Manager (IP6KSM)
- Valcom can give the third-party software a contact closure via a relay event in the IP6000 Site Manager

Common Alert Protocol (CAP)
Receiving CAP from a third-party we have two options:
- Use a CAP message as a simple trigger to activate a playlist in the IP6000 Site Manager
- Digest the CAP message, extract information out of the message, insert it into a playlist, and activate it. (Content is shared to us and can be played as audio or text)
API Integration
We have API for the IP6000 Site Manager that allows third party software the following:
- Playlist
- Playlist Visibility – see the playlist in our system and see if they are active or not.
- Playlist Activation – ability to activate playlists in the IP6000 Site Manager
- Quick Page
- Allows third-party software to see Valcom groups associated with the IP6000 Site Manager
- Send audio direct to a Valcom group
- Send text direct to a Valcom group
API into third party software currently in development

Text Monitor
Allows the IP6000 Site Manager to monitor network traffic: UDP, TCP, Multicast
- Use text monitor as a simple trigger to activate a playlist in Site Manager (no content is shared, just simple activation)
Digest the content from the text monitoring and extract information out of the data and activate the playlist. (content can be played as audio or text)

Specific Active Integrations
Integration Partner/Type | Nature of Integration |
---|---|
Everbridge | Valcom extracts CAP information from Everbridge. Valcom can also send an email to trigger actions on Everbridge systems. |
InformaCast | A contact closure on an InformaCast system is relayed to Valcom systems via SNMP to activate our endpoint devices. Additionally, a contact closure on a Valcom device is relayed via SNMP to InformaCast systems |
Intrado Revolution (formerly SynApps) | A contact closure on an Intrado Revolution system is relayed to Valcom systems via (formerly SynApps) SNMP to activate our endpoint devices. Additionally, a contact closure on a Valcom device is relayed via SNMP to Intrado Revolution systems |
Verkada | A contact closure from Verkada hardware is used to trigger Valcom hardware to activate our endpoint devices. Additionally, a contact closure on a Valcom device can trigger inputs/activate outputs of Verkada systems. |
LightSpeed | Valcom systems can be triggered by LightSpeed systems via text monitor. Additionally, Valcom can mute LightSpeed devices during pages to ensure that messages are heard. |
Raptor | 2-Way API whereby either Valcom or Raptor can serve as the trigger for an event. |
Rave | CAP messages are sent/pushed to Valcom for relaying to Valcom endpoint devices. |
Centegix | CAP messages are sent/pushed to Valcom for relaying to Valcom endpoint devices. |
Omnilert | An Omnilert event informs the Valcom API to trigger a Valcom playlist for activation of our endpoint devices. |
Nurse Call Systems | Text monitoring is deployed to read syslog information to activate Valcom systems. Valcom can accept audio input from nurse call systems such that Valcom audio endpoints can repeat the same message that is being played across the nurse call system endpoints. |
Tap App | An TapApp event informs the Valcom API to trigger a Valcom playlist for activation of our endpoint devices. |
Seqent | The Seqent Firstpage server extracts information from industrial equipment which relays key events via SIP and SNPP to Valcom systems to activate our endpoint devices. |
Ruvna | CAP messages are sent/pushed to Valcom for relaying to Valcom endpoint devices. |
Keltron | CAP messages are sent/pushed to Valcom for relaying to Valcom endpoint devices. |
Valcom TPS (Telephone Paging Server) | Certain Cisco, Avaya, and NEC VOIP phones can be connected to serve as Valcom endpoints – allowing those devices (if equipped) to relay messages via speaker and LCD screen |
Potter Fire Alarm | Valcom can extract relay status via Modbus to to trigger Valcom hardware to activate our endpoint devices |
